Welcome to the herbal collection of Fine & Refined Soaps. Black & White Sage Soap uses both black sage and white sage together to form the highly exfoliating (and non-abrasive), highly detoxifying soap of the collection. And, as if sage weren't detoxifying enough, we have charcoal derived from sustainably sourced wood adding to its detoxifying power as well as diatomaceous earth adding to its detoxifying power too. Its scent is very reminiscent of white sage; it has a slightly minty smell and menthol effect with stronger musky herbaceous notes that will have you feeling meditative. Wonderful stories have emerged about this soap's ability to heal and detox from people who've purchased B&W Sage at the farmer's market. Hopefully, over time, comments will be made here about it too. A word of caution, though: it can have a drying effect on the bodily skin when used every day for longer than 2 weeks, but has no such effect on the facial skin when used daily. It is still recommended to be used all over the body, but do avoid drying out the skin. Be sure to take notice of your body and take care of your skin. Your skin is the body's foremost line of defense-- an impenetrable shield that contradictorily absorbs everything you put on it. With that in mind, I've developed soaps that give your skin nothing to fight; no harsh artificial chemicals or unnecessary preservatives that can break down your shield and bioaccumulate in various places in the body. And instead, I've made Black & White Sage soap to help your skin process and excrete toxins and to help heal and restore its position as an impenetrable shield. Having healthy skin also gives you a chance to shine at what you do and bask in the aesthetics of having taken that health journey with your skin.
